A Fisherman & his Bird

Fishing is a solitary exercise and if you have to take a "bird" along it's best to take the feathered variety. I made acquaintance with this chap last year and he often comes and sits on my jetty when I fish from my moored boat, I feed him mud prawns, mullet and flatties. I’ve thrown him fish onto various jetties on the marina and river. Yesterday was the first time he landed on my boat and he scoffed 6 mullet and a small zebra fish. Early this morning he joined me again, what an amazing experience and relationship this has become. - Athol Trollip.
