U3A Port Alfred Presentation

Please be reminded of our University of the Third Age (U3A) presentation in the Don Powis Hall, Settlers Park, at 09h30 for 10h00 on Thursday, 24th March 2022. Your driver's licence or ID card will be scanned at the gate.

The presentation by Professor Don Kurtz is entitled "It's about Time" and will cover the following: Days, Weeks, Months, Years and more: Hear about Roman Emperors, Zulu Wars, Rider Haggard, Thomas Hardy, the English time riots, and how the days of the week got their names in an amusing and informative tour of the Western calendar.
