Sunshine Coast Festivals
02 April 2026
Life along the Sunshine Coast isn’t defined by a single destination, but by a rhythm of moments that unfold across the calendar and the landscape. From Port Alfred to Bathurst and beyond, our calendar fills with gatherings that draw people together - not just residents, but families returning, visitors exploring, and those beginning to imagine a life here.
In March, that rhythm was on full display. The Pineapple Cricket Tournament brought its familiar energy to Port Alfred, blending sport with a festive, end-of-summer atmosphere. Later, the Bathurst Agricultural Show continued a long-standing tradition of country excellence, including equestrian events, dog trails and much to entertain families on a day's outing.
These gatherings are very much part of the lifestyle that surrounds our little piece of paradise. They reflect the character of this coastline: connected, welcoming, and rich with that unmistakable sense of community that transform occasions into memories.
Vintage Car Parade at the Pineapple Cricket Tournament
Held on 9 March 2026 as part of the Pineapple Cricket Tournament festivities in Port Alfred, the vintage car parade by the Albany Vintage and Classic Motor Club brought a nostalgic close to the day’s play. Classic vehicles circled the cricket field as spectators gathered beneath a lively marquee, with food, conversation, and the easy atmosphere of a late summer evening shared among friends, families, and visitors alike.
Bathurst Agricultural Show 2026
From 26–29 March 2026 at the Bathurst Showgrounds, the Bathurst Agricultural Show, with its dedicated Horse Show, remains one of the region’s most anticipated annual events. Showcasing equestrian skill, livestock, dog trials, and a wide range of agricultural and family activities, it continues to celebrate the enduring traditions and vibrant character of country life in the Eastern Cape.
A Continuing Coastal Rhythm
And as the season’s calendar continues to unfold, that same spirit carries through to the shoreline where the Royal Alfred Marina will be hosting the Expressions Session of the Royal St Andrews Rip Curl Cup on 6 April, adding its own chapter to a coastline defined by connection, energy, and a shared love of place. Don't miss it - join us on East Beach!
